v 1.4
Added blocks that can take more than one hit.
Added a map that demonstrates said ablative block, and also celebrates Scotland.
Made the blocks “fixed”, which I’m hoping fixes some odd bounce/physics issues.
Added “Yay!” sound when you clear a level.
Changed “Press X to start” to “Click to Start” (as it’s a mouse-driven game)
The ball will now bounce differently depending on where it hits the bat, allowing control over the ball.
Ball will speed up if you complete a level (but will reset if you die – may wish to fix that later)
myBreakout v1.1
On the way down to visit Mum, Dad and 2/3 of my siblings, I took the work laptop with me. I, like most of my family, have a rather unhealthy fear of being bored. The intention was to continue with some of the Flash game development I’ve been doing.
Somewhat to my surprise, I [...]
I know some hold that the decade doesn’t end until 2011, but in my opinion, if the tens digit clicks over, it’s a new decade! So here’s hoping that 2010 is a good one, and the ‘teens treat you well!
It finally got around to snowing around my place, having started in England before Scotland, which is just wrong. It wasn’t snowing when I left work in Glasgow, and I snoozed on the bus home (I was actually worried I’d missed my stop), and when I woke up everything was different…
I took some pics…
I finally deployed my Live Catch Trip Trap Mouse Trap, as you’re supposed to check it every two hours, and this is really the first time since I bought it that I’d actually have the time to relocate the mouse should one turn up in it.
Well, only three hours later I start to hear an [...]
So I found this slightly bedraggled mouse in my bathtub this morning, when I went for my morning wash. This would be the third mouse I’ve found there, and the second live one. I wonder if it’s something about the standing water that’s attracting them in? Anyway, as the mice are beginning [...]
Brushes, an iPhone app, is a nice little painting app for the iPod Touch or iPhone (whichever flavour you have). I’ve been playing with it occasionally, generally when I’ve forgotten to bring a pen and paper along. My attempts to start with broad swathes of colour and then go gradually smaller and smaller [...]
I harvested the final two of my planters today.
The first one I did (the second one I planted – I think they’re “Red Duke of York”) had lots of potatoes with rather manky looking skin, round “sores” and some white flakes around the “sores”. I dubbed this “Spud Lurgie”. Some of the ones [...]
