Recieved a bit of mail from the Home Office today (via my M.P., the inestimable Right Honourable Dr. John Reid M.P), in which it is revealed that they have finally found the proof that I did, in fact, get Unlimited Leave To Remain on the 13th of March 1984. It’s not quite everything I need, as I now need to demonstrate that I haven’t left the U.K. for any period of 2 years, as that breaks the Leave to Remain. Howver, that should be an easy one, and it’s a hurdle I can actually see the end of; I’m giving specific information for a specific result, rather than gathering stuff and not knowing what, if any, effect it might have. So this is more dotting some I’s and crossing some T’s, instead of throwing stuff into a fog.
So the end is now in sight, I’m on the home stretch, and any other sporting metaphor you care to put in. Huzzah!
