Only did 4K today, but that’s because I had to go into town during what would normally be writing session #2. I tried a new word processor, q10, which is very basic – as it’s deliberate, I suppose I should say minimalist. The main selling point is a full-screen orange-on-black set-up, designed to remove all distractions. It has some nice little features that I suspect come from q10 being designed by a NaNoWrimist, with facilities for real-time word counts, timers for Word Wars, and even custom word counts, so you can find out how well you did in a given day/hour/session/chapter/whatever. Oh, and it comes with a cute typewriter noise.

I don’t know if it was q10, or the novel was flowing, or what, but I found that I was able to write faster today. However, I’ve been fighting a migraine most of the day, so I didn’t push it as much as I could have. Apart from anything else, I wanted to leave something for tomorrow…

The two main obstacles I see remaining are continuing after I hit 50K, and continuing after November. I want to do both these things, and actually finish up the novel from beginning to end.
