Reminded to do this when I saw the post on Six Foot Hobbit’s Blog – I’d done it before, but hadn’t spotted the “Widget” option, which gives you the nice display you see here.
Although actually creating the thing – adding text to each image – was incredibly annoying. I don’t know if it was just that I was using Firefox on Linux and the Flash plugin wasn’t quite up to it, but the [expletive deleted] thing kept switching images while I was trying to type. If there is one GUI sin that drives me mad it’s switching focus while I’m typing things. It’s like “Can’t you see what I’m doing?! Let me finish this!” If you redesign the navigation elements on your page to the extent that I can’t work out how to use it, I’ll just leave your page and forget you. Interrupt me when I’m typing and I’ll come to your house and remove your entrails with a blunt, rusty spoon.
Update: The “widget” page turns out to have a much more sensible text editing whatsit. Huh. Well, there you go…
