Well, I didn’t make the 30000, but I’m only 500 short, so that’s not bad. And it’s the first day of Week 3, something I didn’t even realise until I did my update tonight.
To be honest, I’m really, really amazed how much I got done. I had some computer problems earlier (my router went ballistic – some runaway process ate up all its memory until it was locked up swapping), and that kept me busy. But mostly I just sort of faffed about until 9pm, which means I got all that done in a very short space of time.
Kind of makes you wonder what I’d be able to do if I actually pulled my finger out, eh?
I think I should have a good run for a bit, as I’m nicely in my outline just now, so I should be able to avoid the “What do I write now?” problem.
Spam is continuing to be a pain; I may have to go back to an old strategy, where I keep my inbox completely empty, and assume all messages are spam unless proven otherwise. And perhaps, if I get really desperate, set up SpamAssassin on my router, and get it to handle all my mail for me. Get my geek on.
Let’s see how I do tomorrow.

There has been a recent upsurge in spam being mailed out. Also they are getting better at hiding from spam filters — see http://www.jgc.org/blog/2006/10/why-ocring-spam-images-is-useless.html for an example of the lengths some spammers are going to.
