I was a whole 7 words short of my 2000 words today – but I think I can live with it. The main thing was to get everything in before the midnight deadline, so my NaNoWriMo progress report actually corresponds to the amount I wrote in any given day!

Well, that’s the idea, but I doubt I’ll really stick to it – it’s actually been quite hard to get to 2000 before midnight each night (the outline problems continue), so I should probably just accept that I’ll be chucking a few hundred words over the midnight fence each night. But Day 7 should at least correspond fairly closely to what I actually do tomorrow (well, okay, it’s now 4 past midnight, so I actually mean today).

I’m still having problems with my outline, and the plan was to try to get some done during lunch time, but the combination of not feeling 100% (I blame the cheese) and having recieved “All The Weyrs Of Pern” through the post conspired against me.

Distracting me this evening was “Dog Soldiers” – an astoundingly good British comedy horror. Curse you, good film makers! Don’t you realise I have a novel to write!
