Well, went to Asda, but didn’t buy an iron from them – all their cheap ones were out of stock – again! And I don’t see why I should pay £14 for an iron… They had TVs, but didn’t deliver, so I left that, too.

Went to Comet in search of cheap irons, and discovered they have cheap TVs too! And they do deliver! Unfortunately not until Thursday, though… And I also bought an Iron, but not until discovering that they sell irons for over £160! What would you want a £160 iron for?! I’m quite happy with my £9 one, thankyouverymuch…

And my credit card worked fine, leading me to suspect that it’s actually the KwikSave credit card machine that’s broken. I should probably tell them that, and casually let slip that it’s cost them a sale…

Seeing as I was up Asda way, I decided to see if there was anything worth watching at the cinema – and there was! Shrek 2, to be precise. It’s very, very funny, even better than the fantastic original. Dreamworks is really beginning to rival Pixar, which is a good thing for lovers of good films!

And I accomplished all this on my trusty bicycle. I’m back in the gosh-I-love-cycling groove, and hope that the nearly-fortnight of hasn’t made me too rusty. I guess I’ll let the state of my knees dictate how long I keep this up, although I do want to try to cycle to work all next week, as it’s a three-day-week (well, not including the weekend, where I’m on earlies).

Anyway, I got a message on the answerphone when I got in telling me there’s an impromptu Gathering at RPC; I think I’ll continue my rekindling of my cyclemania by cycling down to join them…
