Well, it wasn’t exactly hard or anything. The way’s well-lit, and my front light’s only for beeing seen. Not that I met much traffic on the way anyway…
…I only had to stop & get off a couple of times along the way – I took an alternate route back that avoids the Big Bad Hill but does have a couple of Small Bad Hillettes instead. But mostly I kept moving. Yay me!
Darn, forgot to check what time I got in at. Although the “time and date” stamp on the post is 11:51, so assume a few minutes to actually get in, up the stairs, lock the bike, listen to a non-message on my answerphone… All in all, I think I did pretty good time…
Of course, it’s 00:19 now, ‘cos I clicked “new post” and forgot it for a bit while I checked various web pages, but there you go.
Now to see if I can keep up the alternate cycle-bus-cycle-bus-cycle plan for the whole week…

Congratulations! The big advantage of cycling at night, I found, was that the extra adrenaline from being scared of the dark, and not wanting to stop, ever, in case baddies jumped out me, meant that I cycled much, much faster!
and try getting up the Big Bad Hill, as the view and then the downhill will be well worth it (as long as you have good brakes!).
